MICROSENS Power-over-Ethernet Injector for rough industrial environments

MICROSENS is expanding its product portfolio with an IEEE 802.3at High-Power PoE Injector that features an expanded temperature range and extra resilience to shock and vibration.

The German manufacturer of Industrial Ethernet solutions and LWL technology has a product portfolio spanning a range of industrial networking solutions; the newest addition to that portfolio is a PoE injector conforming to PoE+ standards. The device supports 10/100/1000Mbps data transmission and is powered with 24-48 Volts over top-hat rails. The industrial PoE Injector can power PoE-compliant switches, WLAN solutions or IP cameras directly through the data cable. Devices with maximum power consumption levels of up to 30 watts are supported. PoE+ is preferred for use at outdoor access points with heating elements or with motor-controlled PTZ surveillance cameras, since these devices consume more power.

The MICROSENS PoE Injector is also specially conceived with demanding industrial environments in mind. The device has an extended temperature range of -40 to +75 degrees, additional protection against shock and vibrations and a robust metal case built to Protection Class IP30 standards. Areas of application for this new solution range from automation technology to telecommunication-related uses to railway surveillance.

The device is available as of July under reference number MS655033X.

About MICROSENS

Transmitting information via fiber optic connections offers numerous benefits. MICROSENS GmbH & Co. KG recognised this very early on. As one of the pioneers, the company has developed and produced high-performance communications and transmission systems in Germany since 1993. Individually matched to the demands of diverse usage areas and embedded in comprehensive concepts for individual sectors. But, above all, close to the customer. Technical challenges from customer projects are incorporated directly into product development. This way, IP-based automation solutions are created for modern buildings, cost-efficient network concepts for the office and workspace, robust and fail-safe solutions for industrial environments, optical transport systems future-oriented wide area networks and efficient coupling of sites and computer centres.
