Central 19" PoE+ power supply

Central 48/54 VDC power supplies offer many advantages compared to separate power supplies. Their use is above all more economical. With precise dimensioning or scaling, these systems are energy-efficient and are characterized by lower resource consumption. Central power supply systems can also be redundant and battery-buffered (UPS).

MICROSENS offers very compact solutions with a high power density that require very little space. With a wide operating temperature range from -35 to +60 °C, there is no need for complex room air conditioning. The power management of the MICROSENS Micro Switches optimally works together with the central power supply. The total load is continuously monitored and an overload of the power supply due to incorrect or defective end devices is prevented.

The 1 U chassis can accommodate up to three compact rectifier modules with 850 W each. A total power of up to 2,550 watts can be built up in a 1 U housing. The next expansion stage results in a 2 U solution with max. 5,100 W, which consists of up to six 850 W rectifier modules including carrier chassis.

The use of a central 54VDC power supply is particularly interesting for existing copper cabling with an optimum star configuration (e.g. the ISTY cabling of a previous telephone cabling from the pre-VoIP age) with sufficient dimensions.
